Mst. Rubaya Rashid worked on the preparation of mesoporous silica and poly(vinyl alcohol)/mesoporous silica composite membranes and investigating the resulting changes in the properties of the composite membranes. Her Master’s thesis work was an attempt at increasing the dielectric properties of poly(vinylidene fluoride) and its co- and ter- polymers by the incorporation of silica nanoparticles, where she prepared nanocomposite films and characterized them using FTIR-ATR, XRD and EIS measurements.
